Pro-LIFE Rally and Vigil
To all life-lovers:
As I am sure many of you know, MCCL and other groups are putting on the March for Life rally at the State Capitol on Tuesday, January 22nd at noon. Thousands show up every year. I hope to see you all there.
In addition to this,
MNYAF will be having a rally/vigil at 8pm at the University of Minnesota
Minneapolis campus on the Northrop Mall (just south of Northrop Auditorium). For
those curious, the "Mall" is not a shopping center, but a large open area lined
with buildings (we've had some confusion on this). You can park at the
Washington Ave Ramp for free after 8pm.
To get there from the north, go
35w South to University Ave. Go University Ave east (it is a one way) to 17th
Ave (also called Church St). Turn right (it has a stop light) and go to the
first stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign and follow the road around until you
see the Washington Ave parking ramp on your left. From the ramp, you can
walk
westward into campus and you will end up on the Northrop Mall, from
where you will see us. Follow the green lines on the map below.
To get
there from the south, take 35w north to the University of Minnesota exit. Follow
the signs for East Bank. This will take you onto Washington Ave. After you pass
over the river, look for the Washington Ave Ramp on the left side. Take a left
at the stoplight after the ramp and follow it around to the entrance on the west
side. Follow the purple lines on the map below.

Our schedule is as
follows:
8pm - congregate on the Mall, we will provide candles, bring
signs and
posters if you want (the mall is lighted)
8:15 - start the
march
8:25 - guest speaker
We will probably be ending around
8:40
Please invite everyone you know. All are welcome. This is not just
for college students. Let me know if you have any questions!
In Freedom
and Life,
Chris Hill
Executive Director, MNYAF
